At different points in my
life, I have had plants and I always quickly become very attached to them.
Recently, I started turning my balcony into a little garden. I have a hanging
plant, several potted plants and flowers, my baby mango tree, some cilantro, a
mini Christmas pine, and I’m also working on an avocado plant. There’s just something
about putting seeds in soil, watering them, putting them in the sun and then
just waiting...I love watching these little seedlings getting bigger and stronger
every day. Sometimes when I get home, the first thing I do is go out to my balcony garden to check on all my little plants. It brings me a lot of joy to watch
them growing and changing.
You may think me cheesy, but sometimes
looking at a little plant reminds me a lot of my own life. God is growing me
day by day and doing His good work in my soul. God watches over me and sees me
on those days when I’m looking a little wilted and on days that I’m looking
stronger. I am thankful that God does not get tired of me…that He continues to
grow me and make me into who He wants me to be.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day
of eternity. 2 Peter 3: 18
I am so thankful for the plan God had for my life and those He placed in my life. I am also thankful He is in control and not me. And I am eternally grateful for His son He sent to take my place on the cross. I am also thankful for the gift of running He placed in my heart and in my legs.
